Five Uniqueness Quotes to Find Your Success

uniqueness These uniqueness quotes inspire me as I guide others in discovering their own uniqueness.

Those who truly find their sweet spot are much happier on the journey as they pursue success, fulfillment and wealth. Expressing uniqueness isn’t your only shot at wealth but it is your surest shot a deep fulfillment.

So why not create the thing that only you can? That way at the very least, you will be happy and fulfilled while you continue to make adjustments to bring in the money.

Every man and woman is born into the world to do something unique and something distinctive and if he or she does not do it, it will never be done.   Benjamin E. Mays

Yes I’m talking to you. If you don’t create the value that only you can, in the way that only you can, there will be a hole in the universe that will remain unfilled. Who knows what great need your special creation will have served?

This is your responsibility as an individual and you have a choice. You can seize it or you can live a mediocre life of conformity doing what others say you should do.

What each must seek in his life never was on land or sea. It is something out of his own unique potentiality for experience, something that never has been and never could have been experienced by anyone else.   Joseph Campbell

Campbell speaks to the special nature of what you have the ability to create.  You not only came to this reality uniquely equipped but you have lived a unique life full of unique experiences.  Did you know that your true calling has been subtly nudging you into special experiences that stimulate distinctive realizations?

Your sweet spot, best fit, business idea will be born from those realizations. To bring them to light ask and live with this question, not expecting an immediate answer. What would it take for me to become more aware of all the signs, hints and whispers that I’m being called to notice?

You can’t shrink your way to greatness. Where there’s scarcity, there’s value.  Seth Godin

Truth, don’t you know when you are playing too small? Don’t you know when you’ve settled for less than your first place dream?

In these two uniqueness quotes Godin is telling us to quit playing in arenas that are much too small for us.  We only shy away and shrink when we are out of our uniqueness.  It’s extremely challenging to take a stand for something not born of your core uniqueness. It’s impossible to create a one-of-a-kind product or service when you fake it or try to copy another.

Being unique is also very savvy marketing advice.  Godin tells us that scarcity creates value because when something is rare the demand for it increases. If you struggle you might ask yourself this. Where have I been playing too small?  What would it take for me to bring much more of me into expression?

Desire for anything is the thing itself in incipiency; that is, the thing you want is not only for you, but has already been started toward you out of the heart of God; and it is the first approach of that thing itself striking you, that makes you desire it, or even think of it at all.   Emily Cady

This desire you have – to be free to call your own shots and to be rewarded for simply being you – do you get that it’s already on its way to you? Do you get that your desires are as unique as your ability to bring them into existence?

Cady is talking about The Blessing of Unique Contribution. It promises that you are uniquely equipped with the ability and the capacity to discover original ideas that are your special contribution to humanity.  It also promises that you can bring these ideas forth and monetize them as your true calling based business.

This blessing states that God is not some cruel trickster who has equipped you with brilliant individuality only to short you on the ability to express it.  If you weren’t capable of bringing forth this desire then you would never have recognized the idea in the first place. So please quit watering down your divinely inspired ideas.  If your idea has come from the heart of God accept that you are divinely appointed to bring it forth.

You are an individualized expression of the creative flow. There is something you can do that no one can do quite as uniquely as you.  Somewhere there is a need for that special contribution. We live in an orderly universe. You are needed as much as you have need.  Eric Butterworth

You are a force of nature and as such there is a need for the special fruit that only you can bring to market.  Butterworth is telling you that your success (if uniquely created) is a done deal.  Someone out there somewhere will value and appreciate your unique offerings.  Create it uniquely and market it uniquely and your phone will ring.

Now that you have been touched by the special inspiration in these uniqueness quotes begin today to walk a different path in your own special way. That’s the surest path to your success. If you are ready to get reall clear on how to turn your uniqueness into a unique business contact me here.

  1. “Every man and woman is born into the world to do something unique and something distinctive and if he or she does not do it, it will never be done.” Benjamin E. Mays

This quote reminds me of the inherent responsibility that is uniquely mine. That if the world is waiting to receive my gift, the one that only I can bring, then why am I shirking in my duty/obligation to deliver it?

Or, is it that I am not amplifying my awareness to the degree necessary in order to see and receive the gift. Then, in a very clear state of mind and with extreme resolution, get going … and, get giving!

    The world is waiting!

    • @John,

It could be awareness or it could be as simple as not broadcasting out on all the possible channels so that your brilliance can be heard and recieved. Sometimes it’s as simple as marketing; even when we are extremely unique if no one hears us – no one responds.

  2. Great post, Tom! It reminds me of one of my favorite quotes, by the famous dancer and choreographer Martha Graham: “There is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all of time, this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and it will be lost. The world will not have it. It is not your business to determine how good it is nor how valuable nor how it compares with other expressions. It is your business to keep it yours clearly and directly, to keep the channel open. You do not even have to believe in yourself or your work. You have to keep yourself open and aware to the urges that motivate you. Keep the channel open. … No artist is pleased. [There is] no satisfaction whatever at any time. There is only a queer divine dissatisfaction, a blessed unrest that keeps us marching and makes us more alive than the others.”

    • @Charlie, Excellent quote! Thank you. There is nothing like that feeling of quickening she describes. It’s like pure pleasure in motion and is only expereinced when we express form our depths.

  3. “Desire for anything is the thing itself in incipiency; that is, the thing you want is not only for you, but has already been started toward you out of the heart of God; and it is the first approach of that thing itself striking you, that makes you desire it, or even think of it at all.” Emily Cady

I love this quote. It reminds me that the ideas I have are seeds that are planted within me – as gifts from God. They show me my way and if I allow them to grow as only I can, they will become gifts to the world.

  4. @Kelley, Yes thtat one has been a favorite of mine for years. It makes so much sense to me that not only have we been gifted with Divine ideas but also with the capacity to create and express them. It’s a very powerful feeling to know you are on a mission from God.
